 Week 4 Current Power Rankings

#1 - O'Brees Wan Kenobi 4-0 (Last: 1) (This Week: Playing Riddickulously)

O'Brees Wan Kenobi remains undefeated for the 2016-2017 and now moves to 4-0 on the season with a close, but convincing 169-145 victory over Rudy Was Offsides in Week 4. Juan continues to ride the legs of DeMarco Murray, who is making a contender for the steal of this years draft, after he put up his 4th straight 20+ point game with a 25 point performance in Week 4. O'Brees Wan Kenobi continues to prove that he is hungry for a title this year, and is statistically dominating the league. If he continues this trend, O'Brees Wan Kenobi is projected to total 9 wins on the season and hopefully earn the #1 seed heading into the playoffs. Looking forward to Week 5 (Rivalry Week), Juan will face Playing Riddickulously (2-2) in hopes of staying undefeated.

#2 - Ballz Deep! 3-1 (Last: 2) (This Week: Rudy Was Offsides)

Ballz Deep! wins again and now improves to 3-1 on the year and remains in the #2 position in this weeks King of the Shack Power Rankings. Ballz Deep! put on a heck of a performance in Week 4 with a humiliating victory over Playing Riddickulously, winning by a score of 202-137. Ballz Deep! won thanks in large part to huge performances from Matt Ryan (35 points) and A.J Green (33 points) and the rest of the team did their duty to ensure consecutive wins for Ballz Deep! Heading into Rivalry Week, Ballz Deep will face Rudy Was Offsides in Week 5, which will prove to be a key matchup heading into the second half of the season. Matt will welcome back the efforts of Jordy Nelson, who will have to be at the top of his game, if Ballz Deep! has hopes of moving to 4-1. 

#3 ↑ Silly Nannies 3-1 (Last: 5) (This Week: Team Prime)

After slipping in last weeks King of the Shack Power Rankings, Silly Nannies find themselves towards the top in this weeks edition after a convincing 196-107 win over Hernandez Hitmen in Week 4. While the matchup was not even close, Silly Nannies got incredible efforts from Jordan Reed (28 points) and Steve Smith Sr. (25 points) both who completely went above and beyond their level of competition this past weekend. Now with a 3-1 record, Silly Nannies is projected to total out at about 7 wins on the season and will need to make key roster decisions in order to meet that number if he has hopes of earning a high seed in the playoffs. Week 5 puts Silly Nannies in a key matchup with the struggling Team Prime, and whoever wins, will have the advantage down the road in Week 10. 

#4 ↓ Rudy Was Offsides 2-2 (Last: 3) (This Week: Ballz Deep!)

Rudy Was Offsides had a disappointing weekend, falling in defeat to O'Brees Wan Kenobi 145-169. This only is the second loss for Rudy Was Offsides on the season, but will prove to be a costly one however moving forward. Both Eli Manning and Ryan Fitzpatrick combined for a total 16 points and that proved to be the only dagger that O'Brees Wan Kenobi needed to put Rudy Was Offsides nailed down in the coffin in Week 4. Luke is still projected to win nearly 6 more games this season, and barring any major injuries, he should be able to do so and earn himself a decent seeing in the 2016-2017 King of the Shack Playoffs. Week 5's Rivalry Matchup between Rudy Was Offsides and Ballz Deep! will prove to be one of the most interesting and pivotal matchups of the week and will definitely help determine the outcome in Week 10.

#5 ↑ Gronkemon Go 2-2 (Last: 6) (This Week: Hernandez Hitmen)

Gronkemon Go is fighting back to regain his #1 spot in the King of the Shack Power Rankings that he lost a few weeks ago. Now with a 2-2 record, Gronkemon Go has made adjustments to his roster, and with the addition to Brandon Marshall and Todd Gurley, Gronkemon Go looks stronger than ever and is poised to make a run the rest of the regular season. Justin defeated Juan Too Many in Week 4 with a close score of 148-132, and is looking to improve to 3-2 during his Week 5 matchup against rival Hernandez Hitmen. Gronkemon Go will look to Rob Gronkowski (2 points) to improve his play from a week ago if Gronkemon Go has any chance at making a run to the championship this year. Because of his fantasy expertise, Justin has loaded his roster and is projected to win a total of 9 games throughout the regular season, and with the most recent trade, Gronkemon Go will look to even improve off of that projection.

#6 ↑ Favre Dollar Footlong 2-2 (Last: 9) (This Week: Juan Too Many)

Favre Dollar Footlong has now won two in a row, and is steadily moving back up the King of the Shack Power Rankings, after having fallen to the bottom throughout the last three to four weeks. Favre Dollar Footlong crushed Team Prime in a Week 4 matchup, winning by a score of 185-166 and proving to the rest of the league, that he will not be counted out of the playoff conversation just yet. Playoffs!? Favre Dollar Footlong was led impressively by Julio Jones (48 points) who racked up 300 yards and helped Nathan easily defeat Team Prime. In Week 5, Favre Dollar Footlong will face Rival Juan Too Many, and will have to show the league whether he knew what he was doing or not when he decided to trade away Brandon Marshall this week. This matchup will be close and whoever wins in Week 5, will have the slim advantage down the road as the playoffs near.

#7 ↓ Playing Riddickulously 2-2 (Last: 4) (This Week: O'Brees Wan Kenobi)

Playing Riddickulously (formerly known as Suh Girls One Cup) dropped its second matchup in a row, this time at the hands of Ballz Deep! in a lopsided performance losing by a score of 137-202. For Playing Riddickulously, it was a demoralizing defeat, as the once impressive 2-0 start, has now become a thing of the past. Zac now needs to make the necessary adjustments in the coming weeks, to right the ship and get Playing Riddickulously back on track before the playoffs start. This week, Playing Riddickulously made a major trade with Hernandez Hitmen, sending Andrew Luck, Alshon Jeffrey, Jordan Howard and Lamar Miller in return for Odell Beckham Jr., Sam Bradford, Eddie Lacy and Quincy Enunwa. This hopefully will increase the chances of more wins in the future for Playing Riddickulously, who is only projected to win about 3-4 more games the rest of the season. Week 5 against O'Brees Wan Kenobi will be a true test in seeing just how much firepower Zac was able to add this week.

#8 - Team Prime 1-3 (Last: 8) (This Week: Silly Nannies)

Team Prime continues rack up the losses as he has now lost three out of the last 4, landing him in our #8 spot for this weeks King of the Shack Power Rankings. In a Week 4 166-185 blowout loss to Favre Dollar Footlong, Tyler found his team falling short once again. Despite solid performances from rookie Ezekiel Elliot (21 points) and Lesean Mcoy (22 points) Team Prime was simply no match for the firepower of Julio Jones (48 points) from Favre Dollar Footlong. Team Prime needs to make some immediate adjustments if he wants any chance of making noise in this playoffs this season. It is difficult to diagnose any moves that need to be made, but hopefully the luck falls Team Prime's way in Week 5 when he faces Silly Nannies during Rivalry Week.

#9 ↓ Juan Too Many 1-3 (Last: 7) (This Week: Favre Dollar Footlong)

Juan Too Many had a great opportunity to improve to .500 this week, and put up a valiant effort in an attempt to do so, but in the end, Gronkemon Go was too much for Juan Too Many who drops to 1-3 on the season and is left searching for answers. Being down a kicker, and two start quarterbacks, Juan Too Many leaned on Michael Crabtree (33 points) and Demaryius Thomas (21 points) to try and upset the heavily favored Gronkemon Go, but their efforts were to of no prevail. In Week 5, Josh will look to take down Favre Dollar Footlong during Rivalry Week, which could give him the perfect boost to make a run towards the playoffs as the second half of the season approaches.

#10 - Hernandez Hitmen 0-4 (Last: 10) (This Week: Gronkemon Go)

Is the defending champion too far gone to make it in to the King of the Shack Playoffs this year!? He thinks so. According to team owner, Noah Ballweg "Hernandez Hitmen has had its success in the past, but its time to start thinking about brighter things, not dwelling on the past. We have not done our best preparing all season and our record shows for it. I don't know about the rest of the guys, but we are tired of losing and ready to call it a season if we don't win by Week 6". Hernandez Hitmen fell to Silly Nannies, 107-196 summarizing the season that they have had so far. Week 5, pits Noah against Gronkemon Go, another projected blowout...what could be worse!? Look for Hernandez Hitmen to shake things up in the front office and try to at least keep his pride this year.

Week 3 Current Power Rankings

#1 ↑ O'Brees Wan Kenobi 3-0 (Last: 3) (This Week: Rudy Was Offsides)

O'Brees Wan Kenobi continues to climb the ladder of the King of the Shack Power Rankings, and now finds himself atop the league with the #1 spot, and a 3-0 record to show for his valiant effort. Twice now, Juan has defeated the pre-season favorite Gronkemon Go, after a come from behind victory in Week 3, narrowly winning by a score of 172-165. O'Brees Wan Kenobi will more than likely welcome back the limited services of Tyler Eifert and Jamaal Charles in Week 4, which could spell out trouble for the rest of the league as Juan continues to assemble one of the most impressive rosters in league history. Week 4 will be another great test for O'Brees Wan Kenobi, as he matches up with Rudy Was Offsides, who is gaining momentum of his own, ripping off two straight victories in a row! Who will come out on top!? Player of the Week: DeMarco Murray 26 points

#2 ↑ Ballz Deep! 2-1 (Last: 5) (This Week: Suh Girls One Cup)

Ballz Deep! once again impressed the rest of the league with another dominating performance over his opponent in Week 3. Silly Nannies fell victim to the high scoring attack of Ballz Deep! who cruised to a 172-109 victory and bumping him up to our #2 position in this weeks King of the Shack Power Rankings. Matt was led Jordy Nelson (28 points) and back up running back Charles Sims (23 points) who each led the way with over 100 all purpose yards in Week 3. While Ballz Deep! has proven that injuries do not phase his managing strategies, his matchup in Week 4 with Suh Girls One Cup will give the rest of the league a clear picture as to how effective this team can be. Looking ahead, Ballz Deep! will need to address the ineffective QB position in order to truly be a contender in the leagues playoffs.

#3 ↑ Rudy Was Offsides 2-1 (Last: 6) (This Week: O'Brees Wan Kenobi)

Never underestimate the heart of a champion! Luke has now won two in a row and with a Week 4 victory, could stand alone the league standings in first place for the first time in the history of the King of the Shack Fantasy Football League. With a dominating 229-136 victory over lowly Hernandez Hitmen, Rudy Was Offsides showed his potential to the rest of the league and is interested in more than just a playoff spot this year. Although Ryan Fitzpatrick (-3 points) threw 6 interceptions, Rudy Was Offsides had both the Chiefs DST (32 points) and Vikings DST (25 points) which more than made up for the poor performance of anyone on Luke's roster. Tevin Coleman (29 points) has now scored 4 touchdowns in 3 weeks and has made a statement to the Falcons that he wants to be the feature back in Atlanta. Rudy Was Offsides will have his work cut out for him in Week 4, as his rosters faces some tough matchups, during a key clash with O'Brees Wan Kenobi

#4 - Suh Girls One Cup 2-1 (Last: 1) (This Week: Ballz Deep!)

Missing Todd Gurley yet!? After a questionable trade in the middle of Week 3, Suh Girls One Cup put up his lowest point output of the season and fell to 1-2 Favre Dollar Footlong by a score of 120-155. Suh Girls One Cup was done in thanks in large part to the lack of wide reciever depth that Zac has on his roster. Tajae Sharp and Eric Decker both combined for 11 points in Week 3 while Andrew Luck (13 points) continues to struggle as a consistent fantasy football quarterback. Thankfully, with a 2-1 record heading into Week 4, Zac remains among the top teams in the league and has a great opportunity to show his poise in a Week 4 matchup with Ballz Deep (2-1). He will need to make a few adjustments, but should not have to worry yet about missing out on a chance for a title run.

#5 ↓ Silly Nannies 2-1 (Last: 2) (This Week: Hernandez Hitmen)

Silly Nannies finally felt the effects of the injury bug, after Adrian Peterson (MCL), Willie Snead (Turf Toe), Sammy Watkins (Foot) and Jonathan Stewart (Hamstring) were all ruled out of their games in Week 3. This left Silly Nannies scrambling to make changes to his roster and had to rely on some backup players who were unable to put forth enough points to even muster a competition in Silly Nannies defeat to Ballz Deep! which ended with a score of 109-172. Silly Nannies faces the bottom dweller Hernandez Hitmen in Week 4, if he is able to welcome back some of his injured players he should have no problem moving back up in the standings.

#6 ↓ Gronkemon Go 1-2 (Last: 4) (This Week: Juan Too Many)

Gronkemon Go now welcomes back the highly touted tight end Rob Gronkowski, and the question that will need to be answered is "Was he worth the wait?" Gronkemon Go sure hopes so. While Justin's roster remains loaded with talent and points, the most difficult decision to make is which player to play during any given week. In Week 3, Gronkemon Go scored 165 points in a 165-172 loss to O'Brees Wan Kenobi, but he also had 113 points left on the bench, which had the roster been tweaked a bit, Gronkemon Go could have found himself with a 2-1 record, rather than a 1-2. Nothing to worry about however, Justin will move ahead and make the necessary changes to his team to ensure more victories in the future. With the acquisition of Todd Gurley, Gronkemon Go gets a huge boost in the running back position which will largely make up for his lack at the WR position.

#7 ↑ Juan Too Many 1-2 (Last: 10) (This Week: Gronkemon Go)

Juan Too Many got the first W in the win column in Week 3 and it could not have come at a better time. Facing what looked like an insurmountable deficit heading into Monday night, Juan Too Many looked to Devonta Freeman (31 points) to single handily regain the lead against Team Prime and eventually win by a score of 194-180, putting him in the #7 spot for this weeks King of the Shack Power Rankings. Unfortunately, Juan Too Many now faces Gronkemon Go in Week 4, and will have to do so still without QB Tom Brady (SSPD), and Aaron Rodgers (BYE) leaving Juan Too Many with a tough hill to climb if he wants to improve his record in the coming week. Looking ahead to week 5, Josh will welcome back Rodgers and Brady which will all but boost his chances of winning each week.

#8 ↓ Team Prime 1-2 (Last: 7) (This Week: Favre Dollar Footlong)

Team Prime fell in heartbreaking fashion to Juan Too Many in Week 3, after holding a 180-163 lead heading into Monday night, Juan Too Many pulled away with an impressive performance and left Team Prime in the dust with a score of 180-194. Team Prime left three important pieces on the bench during Week 3, Doug Baldwin (30 points) LeGarrette Blount (22 points) and Christine Michael (24 points) which due to the poor play of Carson Palmer (3 points) ultimately led to the defeat of Team Prime. After his dominating victory in Week 1, Team Prime has now lost two in a row and will need to make some adjustments in Week 4 to get back on track in the winning ways.

#9 - Favre Dollar Footlong 1-2 (Last: 9) (This Week: Team Prime)

Favre Dollar Footlong was able to avoid a third straight defeat in Week 3, as he upset the previously undefeated Suh Girls One Cup by a score of 155-120. Favre Dollar Footlong overcame the poor performances of Ben Roethlisberger (6 points) and Julio Jones (2 points) with huge play of Mark Ingram (22 points) and Colby Fleener (23 points) on Monday night, Favre Dollar Footlong was able to come back and defeat Zac in convincing fashion. Looking ahead to Week 4, Nathan will need a much stronger performance from Brandon Marshall and Julio Jones if he wants a chance at defeating Team Prime this coming week.

#10 ↓ Hernandez Hitmen 0-3 (Last: 8) (This Week: Silly Nannies)

0-3 and the bottom dweller of the league after three weeks. Who would have forseen that the previous league champion would be without a win heading into Week 4 of the King of the Shack Fantasy Football season. Hernandez Hitmen lost a favorable matchup to Rudy Was Offsides in Week 3, falling by a score of 229 to 136, all but crushing his hopes of rising in the ranks of the league before the midway point of the regular season. Poor quarterback play continues to be the factor in all of Hernandez Hitmen's losses as Philip Rivers (11 points) and Ryan Tannehill (18 points) underperformed once again with their poor offenses. Randall Cobb (4 points) and Brandin Cooks (3 points) both put up their worst performances in their careers and now Hernandez Hitmen is left struggling to find answers from all avenues of his roster. Noah will look to redeem his season and win out the remainder of the season and that will all begin in Week 4 against Silly Nannies.

Week 2 Current Power Rankings

#1 ↑ Suh Girls One Cup 2-0 (Last: 4) (This Week: Favre Dollar Footlong)

Suh Girls One Cup is officially back and hungry for the title in 2016! With two straight performances of 170+ points each week, Suh Girls One Cup has breezed its way to a impressive 2-0 start and will look to continue the dominance in an upcoming matchup with less than lethal Favre Dollar Footlong. In Week 2, Suh Girls One Cup defeated Team Prime (1-1) by a score of 180-134 points. Ouch! Straight out of the gates on Thursday night, Eric Decker (24 points) impressed with 6 receptions for 126 yards and a touchdown to put the cherry on top. Later into the weekend, it was free agent pick up Mike Wallace (20 points) who hauled in a pair of touchdowns and veteran tight end Greg Olson (23 points) who all but solidified Suh Girls One Cup victory over Team Prime and earning him the #1 position in this weeks King of the Shack Power Rankings.

#2 ↓ Silly Nannies 2-0 (Last: 1) (This Week: Juan Too Many)

2-0 Silly Nannies continues to impress the rest of the King of the Shack Fantasy Football league. After coming in at #1 last week, Silly Nannies again remains near the top of the rankings dropping to the #2 position due to an array of injuries that could spell out some trouble in the coming weeks. Silly Nannies defeated Juan Too Many by a score 162-133 in their Week 2 matchup, not the output that Jake could have been hoping for, but in the end a win is a win and Silly Nannies remains 1 of 3 teams with a 2-0 record. Unfortunately, Silly Nannies does have some tough decisions to make. Both starting running backs Jonathan Stewart and Adrian Peterson have some significant injuries and could miss multiple weeks in the near future. It will be up to Silly Nannies and the rest of his roster to perform at a high level to make up for the lost points at running back.

#3 ↑ O'Brees Wan Kenobi 2-0 (Last: 5) (This Week: Gronkemon Go)

Back to back victories for O'Brees Wan Kenobi and Juan Dominguez is sitting pretty amidst the top 3 Power Ranking teams. With another convincing win in Week 2 over Hernandez Hitmen, O'Brees Wan Kenobi moves to 2-0 on the season and will look to remain undefeated in a heavily anticipated Week 3 tilt with Gronkemon Go (1-1) O'Brees Wan Kenobi again relied heavily on the strong quarterback play of Drew Brees (14 points) and Derek Carr (24 points) and was greatly helped out by DeAndre Hopkins (24 points) who hauled in 7 passes for 113 yards and 1 touchdown. This led to a 177-144 victory over Hernandez Hitmen in Week 2. Something to note for O'Brees Wan Kenobi is the fact that they boast a 2-0 record, but still have yet to activate both Jamaal Charles and Tyler Eifert, both of whom will greatly boost this teams upside. Keep and eye out for O'Brees Wan Kenobi.

#4 ↑ Gronkemon Go 1-1 (Last: 6) (This Week: O'Brees Wan Kenobi)

Gronkemon Go has by far been the most resilient team over the last two weeks. After having dealt with injury after injury, Justin has led his team to a 1-1 record and has been competitive in each matchup despite still not receiving any contributions from Rob Gronkowski (hamstring) yet. This moves Gronkemon Go up to our #4 spot in the King of the Shack Power Rankings, and as his team continues to get healthy, this dangerous roster will become even more effective. In Week 2, Gronkemon Go asserted his dominance over Ballz Deep! winning by a score of 198-182, and doing so with 110 points on his bench. Despite some shaky numbers from his quarterbacks Russell Wilson (11 points) and Matthew Stafford (15 points) Gronkemon Go looked to none other than veteran running back Matt Forte (30 points) to lead the way to victory over Ballz Deep! Looking ahead into Week 3, Gronkemon Go will face a 2-0 O'Brees Wan Kenobi squad and will have to crunch some numbers in order to set the optimal lineup to defeat Juan.

#5 ↓ Ballz Deep! 1-1 (Last: 3) (This Week: Silly Nannies)

Ballz Deep! narrowly missed coming out of Week 2 with a victory, but was done in by multiple injuries to his roster, eventually leading to defeat against Gronkemon Go by a score of 182-198. While the loss drops Ballz Deep! to a 1-1 record, the real loss came when fantasy guru Danny Woodhead went down with an injury, which will ultimately cost Ballz Deep! a tremendous amount of points during the rest of the season. Matt will have to look towards other options such as Charles Sims or Jeremy Hill to fill in for the injured Woodhead for the rest of the season. Heading in to a Week 3 showdown with Silly Nannies, Ballz Deep! will have to rely on his strong quarterback play from Matt Ryan (27 points) and Marcus Mariota (16 points) as well as look towards his plethora of wide receivers to make some plays on the field to lead him to a victory.

#6 ↑ Rudy Was Offsides 1-1 (Last: 7) (This Week: Hernandez Hitmen)

Juan Direction is no more, but Rudy Was Offsides is now headed in the right direction with a 153-149 victory over Favre Dollar Footlong in their Week 2 matchup. To put things in perspective, it took Luke 7 weeks to register his first win last season, so with his Week 2 win, it is quite evident that Rudy Was Offsides is here to make some noise in the 2016 season. Luke found some gold in Latavius Murray (21 points) and Delanie Walker (20 points) during his Week 2 matchup with Favre Dollar Footlong, this was accompanied by a strong performance from surprise running back Tevin Coleman (14 points) allowing Rudy Was Offsides to hold off his opponent and lay claim to his first victory of the year. Looking ahead to Week 3, Rudy Was Offsides will face a struggling Hernandez Hitmen team, but will have to replace running back Doug Martin and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo as both went down with injury in Week 2. This being said, Le'Veon Bell will return in 2 weeks and at that point look for Rudy Was Offsides to really make some headway against the rest of the league.

#7 ↓ Team Prime 1-1 (Last: 2) (This Week: Juan Too Many)

It is amazing the difference one week can make on the outlook of a team. Heading into Week 2, Team Prime was dealing with some injuries, but it still was clear that he was one of the top teams to be reckoned with in the King of the Shack Fantasy Football league. Now heading into Week 3, Team Prime has again been done in by injury, and it appears as though the next few weeks will determine the type of post season position Team Prime will be able to snag. Following a Week 134-180 blowout loss to Suh Girls One Cup, Team Prime learned that running back Ameer Abdullah was placed on the IR, making two players in two weeks that have landed on the long term IR to start off the season. On the brightest note, Team Prime has been stashing running back Melvin Gordon (20 points) who is now set to receive an even heavier workload with Danny Woodhead departing for the season. Look for Gordon to be the dark horse candidate that every owner dreams of having, and if he can stay healthy, he will continue to make Tyler look like a very smart man. Heading into Week 3, Team Prime will clash with Juan Too Many, both teams are desperate for a win, but only one team will come out with the victory.

#8 - Hernandez Hitmen 0-2 (Last: 8) (This Week: Rudy Was Offsides)

The defending champion is off to a dismal start in the 2016 King of the Shack Fantasy Football season and reports coming in from Adam Schefter say that quite honestly he has no idea what to do about it. Hernandez Hitmen fell in Week 2  by a score of 144-177 against O'Brees Wan Kenobi. Eddie Lacy (5 points) continues to haunt Hernandez Hitmen from last year, and it is clear that he never learned his lesson to stay away from Packers running backs. Week 3 looks just as concerning for Noah, as he faces Rudy Was Offsides, and will hope to grab a little luck and squeeze out a victory, otherwise the playoffs will all but be seemingly out of reaching with an 0-3 start.

#9 ↑ Favre Dollar Footlong 0-2 (Last: 10) (This Week: Suh Girls One Cup)

Nathan is still looking to put all the pieces together during the 2016 season, after an 0-2 start to conclude Week 2. Favre Dollar Footlong fell in defeat against Rudy Was Offsides, 149-153 a close defeat, but a loss none the less. While he has received strong output from Brandon Marshall (16 points) and Julio Jones (21 points) it is the rest of the team who has failed to contribute to the team overall. In Week 2, Favre Dollar Footlong had only 7 of his players scoring in the double digits, and the Raiders DST (-6 points) gives a clear image of the type of week that it was for Nathan. On the bright side, Jay Cutler will not need surgery going forward into the season, and coach John Fox is confident he will still be able to play. Praises!

#10 ↓ Juan Too Many 0-2 (Last: 9) (This Week: Team Prime)

Average about 135 points over the past two weeks, spells out disaster for Juan Too Many as the season ramps up heading into Week 3. After a 162-133 loss to Silly Nannies in Week 2, Juan Too Many will need to right the ship in Week 3 against Team Prime to gain some ground on the rest of the league in the hopes of making the playoffs once again this year. Both Devonta Freeman (9 points) and Thomas Rawls (4 points) again underperformed and Juan Too Many is left desperately awaiting the return of quarterback Tom Brady to team up with Aaron Rodgers to carry his team throughout the remainder of the season. Until then, Josh will have to hold on for dear life and hope that his roster can find some life over the next few weeks in order to put a 'W' in the win column before the halfway point of the season hits. Week 3 against Team Prime will be a great opportunity to prove the resiliency of this team.

Week 1 Power Rankings

1. ↑ Silly Nannies 1-0 (Last: 2) (This Week: Juan Too Many)

The auto draft extraordinaire proved to the league that despite having his team chosen for him by the league, Silly Nannies has excellent team management skills had put those on full display during Week 1 of the King of the Shack Fantasy Football season. Not only did Silly Nannies win this week, but they did so in convincing fashion with a 201-119 victory over Favre Dollar Footlong. Jake's Silly Nannies were led this week by veteran wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald (28 points) and workhouse running back DeAngelo Williams (34 points). Combined both players scored nearly half of the total points that Favre Dollar Footlong was able to muster up, giving Silly Nannies the victory and the number one spot in this weeks power rankings. Despite only receiving 3 points from his #1 scoring option Adrian Peterson, Silly Nannies scored the highest number of points this week and will look to continue the dominance heading into next weeks matchup with Juan Too Many.

2.  ↑ Team Prime 1-0 (Last: 6) (This Week: Suh Girls One Cup)

Team Prime showed up in Week 1 and showed up in a big way! With dominated scores from every aspect of the roster, Team Prime easily outlasted reigning champion Hernandez Hitmen by a score of 195-164, earning Tyler the #2 position in this weeks King of the Shack Power Rankings. With 10 out of his 14 players putting up double digit points, it was clear that Team Prime had done some scouting prior to the beginning of the season, which allowed for the optimal lineup to be set for his week 1 victory. Led by Russell Wilson's favorite target Doug Baldwin (24 points) Team Prime cruised to victory with the strong support of cast members such as Alex Smith (27 points) and Dwayne Allen (17 points). Although the loss of Keenan Allen for the entire season will leave its sting, Team Prime's bench is loaded with points and potential and it will be but a breeze for Tyler to substitute in a replacement and continue racking up the points.

3. ↑  Ballz Deep!  1-0 (Last: 10) (This Week: Gronkemon Go)

Not many saw this coming from the week one box scores, except for one...Matt Kippley! Ballz Deep put down the hurt during his Week 1 matchup with Juan Too Many, defeating Josh by a score of 197-141. This came as a shock for many, as the questionable draft strategy by Ballz Deep! landed them in the #10 spot coming into week one, but due to the strong performance and bright outlook for the weeks to come, Ballz Deep! jumps up to the #3 spot in this weeks King of the Shack Power Rankings. Led by a variety of strong performances from Amari Cooper (21 points) Danny Woodhead (22 points) and C.J Anderson (29 points) Ballz Deep! was able to build a sizable lead from the get go this week and maintained it throughout the weekend. To solidify the victory, Ballz Deep! relied on A.J Green (36 points) to put Juan Too Many in the dust and cruise to a Week 1 victory. This week will prove a tough test again Gronkemon Go, as two powerhouses will clash in a Week 2 matchup.

4. - Suh Girls One Cup 1-0 (Last: 4) (This Week: Team Prime)

Zac got off on the right track in Week 1, taking the first step towards getting back into the playoffs and making a run at the King of the Shack Championship. Although the victory was not easy, a win is a win and Suh Girls One Cup's 175-166 victory over Juan Direction put him in our #4 spot in this weeks King of the Shack Power Rankings. Despite only receiving a combined ten points from Todd Gurley (5 points) and Tyrod Taylor (5 points) Suh Girls One Cup was still able to defeat Juan Direction behind the arm of Andrew Luck (35 points) and the legs of Theo Riddick (27 points) who would have guessed!? While the quarterback position still looms questions about the consistency of Suh Girls One Cup, it is hard to argue with the results, and once the L.A. Rams get Gurley going, there will be no ceiling on the potential of this team.

5. ↑ O'Brees Wan Kenobi 1-0 (Last: 9) (This Week: Hernandez Hitmen)

The upset is complete! Coming into the week, O'Brees Wan Kenobi was ranked at #9 heading into the matchup with #1 Gronkemon Go, but after a shocking victory, Juan jumps up into the #5 position for this weeks King of the Shack Power rankings and will look to carry the momentum into his upcoming matchup with Hernandez Hitmen. Defeating Gronkemon Go was a narrow victory, as O'Brees Wan Kenobi mustered out a 175-170 victory and relied heavily on running backs DeMarco Murray (22 points) and Carlos Hyde (22 points) to carry the rest of the team. Capping off the impressive week, Drew Brees (30 points) led the way with 4 TD passes against the Raiders and proved to be the deciding factor in O'Brees Wan Kenobi's vicotry over Justin. With Dez Bryant only scoring 1 point this week, Juan will look for a stronger output to continue his winning ways in Week 2.

6. ↓ Gronkemon Go 0-1 (Last: 1) (This Week: Ballz Deep!)

After assembling arguably the most impressive 2016 draft class, Gronkemon Go was done in by a few key injuries to players, Chris Ivory and Rob Gronkowski. This resulted in a crushing 170-175 defeat against nemesis O'Brees Wan Kenobi dropping Justin down to the #6 spot in this weeks King of the Shack Power Rankings. With the injuries holding players out of Gronkemon Go's lineup, it was evident that the rest of his squad would need to perform at a high level. Matthew Stafford (25 points) proved that this is the year for the rejuvenated lions offense. However, it was Gary Barnidge (0 points) and Emmanuel Sanders (9 points) who under-performed this week leading to defeat for Gronkemon Go. Looking ahead, the return of Rob Gronkowski is imminent, and once that takes place, Justin should rise back up to the top of the standings and prove his fantasy football skill.

7. ↓ Juan Direction 0-1 (Last: 5) (This Week: Favre Dollar Footlong)

Juan Direction went in the wrong direction during the Week 1 matchup against Suh Girls One Cup, falling in defeat by a score of 166-75 and starting off the season on the wrong foot with an 0-1 record. This drops Juan Direction to the #7 spot in this weeks Power Rankings, but looking ahead, the future for this team still remains bright with multiple victories looming ahead. Luke was lead this past week by an incredible performance from Antonio Brown (32 points) who continues to prove why he was the #1 pick in most fantasy football formats this season. Shaky quarterback play from Eli Manning and Jimmy Garoppolo hurt Juan Direction in the long run of his matchup, but it was the measly 1 point scored by John Brown of the Arizona Cardinals that eventually led the succumbing of defeat against Zac's squad. Luke has another tough matchup this week against Favre Dollar Footlong, but will look to set the perfect lineup to guarantee victory for himself in Week 2.

8. ↓ Hernandez Hitmen 0-1 (Last: 7) (This Week: O'Brees Wan Kenobi)

The defending champion of the King of the Shack Fantasy Football league got off to a poor start in his request for defending his championship and proving his dominance once again. With a opening matchup against Team Prime, a victory seemed possible, but Hernandez Hitmen fell by a score of 164-195 dropping Noah to 0-1 to start the year and down to #8 in this weeks King of the Shack Power Rankings. Despite receiving a huge boost from Brandin Cooks (33 points) Hernandez Hitmen could not even gather up enough points to make the matchup with Team Prime close. Poor quarterback play was the question coming into the season, and the issue was made known in week one as Philip Rivers (13 points) and Ryan Tannehill (14 points) were only able to find the endzone once in their matchups. Eddie Lacy (8 points) again hurt Hernandez Hitmen and makes the second round draft pick a tough play for the upcoming Week 2 matchup. Hernandez Hitmen will have to rely on big performances from his wide receivers in Week 2 if he has any hope of qualifying for this years playoffs.

9. ↓ Juan Too Many 0-1 (Last: 8) (This Week: Silly Nannies)

There was not much that Juan Too Many could do in the Week 1 matchup against Ballz Deep! falling by a score of 141-197 simply states that Ballz Deep! had an incredible Week 1 performance from his team, and truthfully, no matter how many changes Juan Too Many would have made to his lineups it still would not have been enough. Devonte Freeman (8 points) proved to be the biggest Week 1 disappointment for Josh after having averaging about 20 points per week last season. This was followed up by Thomas Rawls (8 points) which totaled 16 points for Juan Too Many's starting running back positions. A recipe for defeat every time. Josh will look to revamp his roster, and may have to do so via the free agency wire, but should have a good chance at finding a victory in Week 2 versus Silly Nannies.

10. ↓ Favre Dollar Footlong (Last: 3) (This Week: Juan Direction)

Last but not least, Favre Dollar Footlong falls to the #10 spot in the Week 1 King of the Shack Power Rankings. After inching over the 100 point mark, thanks in large part to Ben Roethlisberger (22 points) on monday night, Nathan was able to salvage what he could out of a dismal Week 1 performance by his team. Lets put this into perspective. Had Favre Dollar Footlong put Jay Cutler (11 points) into the lineup for Week 1, he would have been the 5th leading scorer for the team...and that is saying something! Nathan will really have to do some studying for his Week 2 matchup with Juan Direction in hopes of addressing the quarterback and running back deficiency that is at hand. The saints racked up 34 points in there opening game, but Mark Ingram (9 points) was hardly able to contribute as Brees and Co. took to the air in their opening game. Better luck next week!

2016-2017 King of the Shack Fantasy Football Draft Grades

2016-2017 Draft Grades

The 2016-2017 season has officially begun as this years King of the Shack draft has now been completed. Team owners are now scrambling to look over their rosters, determining which players might need to be traded down the road, and which players they are going to ride and die with all the way into the playoffs. It goes without saying that this year is going to shape up into an all time great season with so many owners having great drafts!

This year the King of the Shack Fantasy Football League was able to host a live draft at The Shack which allowed for old and new friends to reminisce on past fantasy football losses and that time Luke picked Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson in the same year, both of whom missed the entire season. As the draft commenced is was the man himself, Luke Drachenberg who took over the reigns with the 1^st overall pick and proved to make some great improvements to his roster over last year.

At the closing of the draft, it was clear that wide receivers were again the hottest commodity on the market, but interestingly enough, it was the quarterbacks that seemed the hardest to come by. Below are the draft grades and analysis for each team that participated in this year’s draft, ranking from best overall draft to worst. In a few short weeks, the owners will put their management skills to the test and prepare for what is to be a long hard fought season for the Shack Daddy trophy. Stay tuned!

(A-) Gronkemon Go – Justin

Justin did it again, proving that expert draft advice and doing your homework can take you from the #9 spot in the draft and move you to the top of the draft class. With a little luck, and a lot of thought and skill Justin was able to assemble a great squad of players for this year and is already projected to have an 85% chance of making the playoffs with the best record, and a 19% chance of winning the entire King of the Shack Fantasy Football League. With Russell Wilson running wild on opposing defenses, and assuming a healthy Gronkowski can put up another 200 points, Justin will be able to rely on his supporting cast to carry him the rest of the way.  Player to watch Jarvis Landry-WR

(B) Silly Nannies -  Jake

After all was said and done, the auto draft seemed to work out in Jake’s favor as he has an overall 12% chance of winning the league championship. While this may seem like a meager number, make no mistake that Silly Nannies will be looking to live up to the hype as Jake leads his team in its first season in the league. The right players fell right into Jake’s lap as he acquired Adrian Peterson with the 13^th overall pick, after being projected to go #3. On top of that, Silly Nannies drafted arguably the best fantasy quarterback in Cam Newton, and will look to rely heavily on his dual-threat ability to carry his team into the playoff race. While it may take a bit of team management, Jake should be able to win approximately 7 out of his 13 matchups which should give him about a 70% chance of making some noise in the playoffs. Hopefully next year he is able to attend the draft to truly prove his skills, but we will let it slide for the time being.

(B-) Favre Dollar Footlong – Nathan

Nathan made some solid strides in this years King of the Shack Fantasy Football draft, picking from the #4 spot in this years draft, Nathan was able to assemble a great variety of WR’s in Julio Jones, and Brandon Marshall and add power running back Mark Ingram to the mix to solidify the balanced attack that Favre Dollar Footlong was able to form. After an early exit in last year’s playoffs, Nathan will hope to further his chances of victory this year and seems to be on the right track for the 2016-2017 season. Nathan is projected a 65% chance of making the playoffs this year, and while he is only favored to win about 7 out of the 13 matchups in the season, with some savvy team management, and a little luck, he may be able to grab one of the top seeds in this years playoffs.

(C+) Suh Girls One Cup – Zac

Suh Girls One Cup, formerly known as Juan Sucks, is looking to rebound after a disappointing finish to last years season where he found himself sitting in 6^th place at the end of the season. Entering this years draft, it was clear that Zac had done his scouting, and was prepared to make a name for himself in the King of the Shack Fantasy Football league once again. Drafting out of the #3 spot, Suh Girls One Cup will look to build it’s name around up and coming running back Todd Gurley who burst into the NFL scene last year after recovering from knee surgery. Now healthy and with a full training camp under his belt, Gurley along with Lamar Miller, Eric Decker and Andrew Luck will look to improve on what was a bust season for Zac last year. Zac is favored to win 6.7 percent of his matchups this year, and has a 10% chance with his team to win the league. If his players can stay healthy, Suh Girls One Cup should find their way into the mix of the playoffs at the end of the season and will hope to once again bring home the Shack Daddy trophy. (C) Juan Direction- Luke

Arguably already the most improved team thanks in large part to the crafty owner, Luke Drachenberg, Juan Direction assembled the pieces to what could be the first winning season for Luke since the history of the King of the Shack Fantasy Football league. Against all Internet connectivity odds, Juan Direction was live streamed from hundreds of miles away to make this years season a little more interesting. After finishing on a high note in the 2015 season, Luke made it a point to prepare to make a push for the 2016-2017 playoffs this season and after analyzing the draft, it appears he is well on his way. Juan Direction will rely heavily on speedy WR Antonio Brown, and bounce back player Doug Martin to march his team into the playoffs. With kicker Josh Brown suspended for the first two games it will be imperative that the rest of the team performs while Brown sits in Rodger Goodell’s naughty chair. Luke is predicted to win over 6 of his matchups, and while he just has a 50% chance in making it into the playoffs, if he is able to do so, the matchups that are available to him give him almost a 10% chance of winning the entire league. We will anxiously watch as Juan Direction will attempt to do what no juan has done before. Player to watch Le’Veon Bell-RB

(C) Team Prime – Tyler

Newcomer Tyler Prime will look to ruffle the feathers of a few other owners this season, as he chose the route of drafting some of the brightest futures in this years 2016-2017 King of the Shack Fantasy Football draft. With a roster headlined by start WR Keenan Allen, and Allen Robinson, Team Prime will look to veteran QB’s Carson Palmer and Andy Dalton to lead the way for the rest of his offensive fire power. With those numbers alone, Team Prime is slated to land the #6 seed in this years playoffs and has a 10% chance of taking home the grand prize, but that will only apply if Tyler is able to manage the highly talented roster that he boasts. Rookie running back Ezekiel Elliot and WR Doug Baldwin will also look to add points to the mix as they enter the season with very high expectations for their performances. Can they live up to hype?

(D+) Hernandez Hitmen – Noah

The reigning champ sits in a bit of a whole to start of the 2016-2017 King of the Shack Fantasy Football season. While he may have won the WR position battle, with names such as Odell Beckam Jr, Randall Cobb, and Bradin Cooks, Hernandez Hitmen is severely lacking in all of the other major positions. He will look for interception prone Phillip Rivers, and inconsistent Ryan Tannehill to lead their respective offenses into the endzone if Noah has any hopes of making it into the playoffs this year. He is being given a 6% chance of making it into the league and has only a 50% chance of being one of the top 6 teams to make it into the playoffs. What does this mean? Hernandez Hitmen will have to utilize every skillset whether it be by waiver wire, or by trade to boost his chances of defending his championship trophy this year. Player to watch Eddie Lacy-RB

(D) Juan Too Many – Josh

After a late surge in last years regular season and playoffs, Juan Too Many was left hungry for victory heading into the 2016-2017 season. After months of deliberating and planning Josh attempting to build off of a steady performance last year, but unfortunately will have his work cut out for him again this year. Coming into the start of this year, Juan Too Many has only a 48% chance of making the King of the Shack Fantasy Football playoffs, but if he is able to do so, he boasts near 14% chance of winning the title if he makes it past the first round. Quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady will be firing on all cylinders towards the end of the season, and it is just the first half of the year that Juan Too Many will have to work a few odds and ends out to end up in playoff contention. Devonte Freeman and new Seahawks workhorse RB Thomas Rawls will give Josh the balance of both receptions in the backfield and touchdown opportunities in the redzone. However, the true X factor will be Mike Evans and Demaryius Thomas, both coming off less than stellar seasons, if they are able to perform at a high level, watch out for Juan Too Many. (D) Mr. Rodger’s Neighborhood – Juan

Juan finished the 2015-2016 season in 3^rd place after getting hot quick in the playoffs and fighting into the consolation championship game. While the draft may have followed that night of his birthday celebrations, Juan appeared to be in midseason form already with aspirations of finally winning that elusive King of the Shack Fantasy Football championship. While the letter grade may not do it justice quite yet, Mr. Rodger’s Neighborhood does have a great deal of potential to make some noise in the upcoming fantasy football season. If Jamaal Charles, Carlos Hyde and Dez Bryant call all stay healthy and have consistent performances, Juan should be able to rely on quarterbacks Derek Carr and Drew Brees to have standout seasons which should be able to win Mr. Rodger’s Neighborhood more than the 6 games that he is projected to win. While the schedule may be tough, it is clear that Juan is desperate to win and will fight at all costs to make the playoffs.

(D-) Ballz Deep! – Matt

Hey rookie! Welcome to the NFL! Ballz Deep went out on a limb for the start of the 2016-2017 season and decided to overload his lineup with running backs and wide receivers, while waiting until the 9^th round to draft a mediocre quarterback. While the move may appear at the moment to be a fatal mistake, Matt is a seasoned vet in the fantasy football realm and did show his poise by landing two solid defenses, and a wide receiving core that could put up some incredible offensive numbers this year. Ballz Deep will truly need Jeremy Hill and C.J Anderson to perform to their fullest capability this year if Matt wants any chance at making it into the playoffs. Ballz Deep is projected to win 5 out of the 13 games this year and will need to make some clutch moves this season in order to sneak into the playoffs come that time of the year.

2016 King of the Shack Fantasy Football Brainstorming

2016 Fantasy Football Ideas

The 2015-2016 season saw league manger, Noah Ballweg lead his dominating Hernandez Hitmen team straight into the league playoffs and capture his first ever 'Shack Daddy' trophy. While the season saw many close match-ups and even welcomed in two new members, there still remained a disconnect amongst the owners within the league. This led to questionable trade scenarios and weekly lineups being untouched for multiple weeks at a time, creating an imbalance in the efforts being put forth into the 2015 season. This evidence calls for a change for the 2016 season, one which will create increased engagement between owners and their fellow competitors, and engagement between owners and their own teams.

This blog post is simply an opportunity for the league to brainstorm ideas and rules that they want to see implemented into the upcoming season. Once all rules and regulations have been voted on and approved later in the year, I will take the liberty upon myself to draft a league constitution that we will all sign in agreement to the 2016 changes.

League Dues:

Prior to the 2016 season, league dues have been set at a measly $10, pocket change and a low risk, low reward investment for the owners in this league. Although this money has yet to be collected, I am suggesting a minimum of $25 dollars be set for the 2016 season, up to $50 depending on the league vote. This will drastically increase incentive for team owners to take the draft seriously, and stay updated with their team throughout the season. This will then increase the depth and competitiveness of the league overall. This money will be collected on the day of the draft, no money, no draft picks.  What are you thoughts??? I have also come across research suggesting that league dues should be paid in percentages  based on how well, or how poorly a team finishes in last years season. For instance, the team that finishes last would pay the leagues highest due, say $50, while the league champion would pay the least amount that year at a discounted rate of $20. This would provide incentive for owners to not give up on their teams half way through the season and continue to fight through the playoffs. 

Draft:

Since the beginning of the King of the Shack league, the draft order has been randomly selected each year, leaving teams who struggled the year prior, with little room for improvement, while the previous playoff teams have often been near the top of the draft order consistently. This needs to change. As stated during the 2015 season, since Luke won the loser's bracket, he will get the rights to choose his draft position, we will honor that opportunity for this year, while all the other draft positions are still up in the air. Here are a few "Draft Lottery" ideas that I have come across:

NBA Lottery Style (Ping-Pong Balls):

Based on a teams overall record in the previous season, each owner will receive a percentage of the lottery votes (Last place=75%, First place=10%, etc...) The lower you finish in the previous season will determine your percentage of receiving the first pick in the draft and so on. Now, dare I say this, but this idea could lead to the "tanking" of some individuals once they feel that their current season is a bust. This would create havoc amongst the league and would have to be dealt with to keep the competition steady.

"The League" Lottery Challenge:

 If any of you are like me, your dream is to someday be in a fantasy football league like the Fox hit series, "The League," if you haven't watched it, I highly suggest you mooch off of someones Netflix account and watch all 4 season. In this television show, each year, the champion of the league gets to decide how the draft order for the upcoming season will be set. This generally involves some sort of competition between the league members, which leads to comfort zones being shattered and the heat of competition coming out at an all time high. If this method is selected by the league, I am proposing that we allow Luke to have immunity to whatever challenge arises, and allow him to not only keep his choice of draft position, but allow him to pick what "challenge" will dictate this years draft positions. It could be as simple as each member choosing a horse the Kentucky Derby and whoever places highest earns a top pick, it could involve each member racing around a track for a mile, or it could involve seeing who can down the most Taco Bell tacos in 10 minutes.

Randomized:

This method, although the least fun, would also be the most simple, where each year, all of the teams are placed at random with equal chance of being pulled, out of a bowl or hat and the draft order is then picked from that group of names. This would keep things fairly even amongst all of the team owners, but could lend the league champion with the chance of gaining a high pick in the upcoming draft.

Draft Type:

One final thing to take into consideration concerning the upcoming 2016 draft, the the actual type of draft that we want to do. The past two year we have completed snake drafts, 1-8-8-1. Our other two options are to pick a set draft, or to draft with ESPN's virtual currency. The first option would involve picking draft positions, most likely with the NBA lottery style choice, and then keeping the draft picks in a set order, looking like this: 1-8 (1 Round) 1-8 (2 Round) etc...The third option is to use virtual currency to draft players in the NFL. Each team would be given a draft budget, of say $5000, players would then have to use skill and strategy to purchase their team based on the finances that they have. For instance, Cam Newton might cost $500, while Jay Cutler may only be $200. This causes each owner to take into consideration how much they want to pay for each position, or how little they want to pay.

The 2015 saw the King of the Shack Fantasy Football league switch to a currency format to determine which free agents would be acquired by each owner. While this format worked to some extent, it was a bit frustrating that owners were not able to see how much the other teams were bidding for certain players. Leaving owners in a position of either bidding way too much, or way too little. How would you like to see this changed? Another option is to base the waiver order, based on an individuals overall record, or performance from the past week. This would allow the worst teams to acquire the high value players more often while the leagues top teams would have to use more strategy and skill to add free agents to their team. 

Tiebreaker:

This is always a touchy subject in most leagues. For the past two years we have not had any tie breakers until the playoffs, and now twice we have seen ties in the regular season, leaving the records in disarray. How would you like to see this played out? It is my vision that we install tiebreakers into the regular season, as well as the playoffs and base the tiebreaker on either total bench points, or total TD's scored by each team. Any suggestions on any other measurement of points? This will solve the issue of having records such as 5-7-1 which simply throws off the league standings and can easily cost a team a playoff spot down the road.

Last Place Penalty:

Here is a solution for all of those fearing that if a draft lottery is installed, teams will begin to tank towards the end of the season in order to gain the top draft spot. At the seasons end, the team that sits in last place will have to face some type of penalty for their lack of activity, poor management skills or just pure bad luck. This could come in the form of a fee, where the last place owner would have to pay an extra $10, $15, or $20 to the league which would be distributed amongst the highest finishers. This would be a great way to stop teams from tanking, due to the fact that when you actually have to pay money for your lack of effort, that scheme quickly goes away and keeps the league competitive. One other alternative to this option, would be a penalty that the entire league agrees on to have the last place finisher accomplish. I'm sure you've all seen the ridiculous tattoos, music videos and public shaming that losers have had to endure after a hard fought season. These methods are often hilarious and really make the bottom-dwellers fight until the seasons end. What do you guys think???

Synopsis:

Another year has come and gone; the second annual King of the Shack Fantasy Football season is in the books and it was another great year. Questionable trades, lots of high scoring and the foretold rise of the once named "2008 Detroit Lions," headlined the 2015-2016 season which, saw Noah taking home his first championship trophy. With the addition of members Nathan Fritschler and Justin Rubenstein, the league expanded to a total of 8 teams, which caused the shrink of the 19-man rosters down to 13-man rosters. Overall it was another fantastic year, and the 2016 season looks to bring great changes to the league making more competitive than ever!

Team Huisman (Taylor Huisman) Final Record (6-10-1)

Looking to build off a second place finish in the 2014-2015 season, Team Huisman drafted arguably 

one of the most talented teams in the 2015 draft. At the wide receiver position, Taylor unleashed a 

deadly lineup of Keenan Allen, Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins and Mike Evans, all top players at 

their position. With a 3-3-1 record after the first half of the season, Huisman was right in the playoff 

race, but key injuries to Jamaal Charles (ACL) and Keenan Allen (Kidney) severely limited the 

scoring output for Team Huisman in the second half of the season. Averaging 146 points through the 

first half of the season, Team Huisman dropped to averaging only 139 points in the last seven games 

of the year and produced a record of 2-5 in those games. Taylor fell to Juan Direction in the losers 

consolation bracket, winding up in last place overall for the 2015 season. The league bids farewell to 

Team Huisman after this year, and will hopefully get to welcome him back into the league sometime 

down the road.  Top Player : Cam Newton (373 points) 

Juan Direction (Luke Drachenburg) Final Record (5-11-1)
Another year, another draft pick used on Adrian Peterson by Juan Direction. Thankfully for Luke, this year was one of AP's best scoring outputs of his lengthy career, finishing with 247 total points and ranking second at his position. After finishing with a 2-10-1 record in the 2014 season, the only real direction that Juan Direction could go was up. Through the first half of the season things were not looking good however, Juan Direction was only averaging 121 points per matchup and had a 
1-5-1 record to show. While the playoffs were clearly out of question, Luke managed to turn his season around by finishing with a 3-10-1 record and averaging 18 more points per matchup in the second half of the season. Out of all the teams in the playoffs, Luke averaged the 4th highest scoring output with 164 points per game. Juan Direction defeated Team Huisman in the losers consolation bracket winning 2 out of the 3 matchups convincingly. With the victory, Luke clinches the opportunity to pick his position in the 2016 draft, a valuable opportunity for him to get off to a good start for the upcoming season. Top Player: Doug Baldwin (262 points)

Juan Sucks (Zac Fiske) Final Record (7-10)
Looking to defend the championship title in the 2015 season, Juan Sucks came up short in his quest to prove league dominance once again. Injuries plagued Juan Sucks this year, Alshon Jeffery (Hamstring) was never fully healthy and could not be counted on consistently, and Jimmy Graham (Knee) was the final straw for a once bright and upstart Juan Sucks team. Through the first seven games of the season, Zac averaged 161 points per game(2nd best) with a 4-3 record. Unfortunately, due to key injuries and a terribly inconsistent year from DeMarco Murray, Juan Sucks averaged 18 points less in the second half of the season dropping him to 7-7 on the year and missing out on a solid playoff position. In the playoffs Zac averaged only 103 points per game, and fell to #6 Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood in the first round of the playoffs. There is no questioning the potential of Juan Sucks, and next year is sure to see Zac build another dominant team.  Top Player: Tom Brady (336 points)

Juan Too Many (Josh Bruckert) Final Record (9-8)

After a shaky 2014 season, posting a 3-10 record, Juan Too Many rebounded nicely with a 7-7 regular season record earning him the 4th seed in the playoffs. A few late season injuries capped off the potential of this team, forcing an early exit out of the playoffs, leaving team owner Josh hungry for another shot in 2016. ACL injuries to Le'Veon Bell and Dion Lewis, severely limited the depth for Juan Too Many at running back, Josh was able to pick up breakout players David Johnson and James White who performed well throughout the second half of the season, but it was not enough as Juan Too Many fell to Favre Dollar Footlong in the first round of the playoffs. After averaging 148 points per matchup throughout the regular season, Juan Too Many dropped to averaging 138 points in the playoffs which spelled out certain doom.  Top Player: Brandon Marshall (332 points)

Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood (Juan Dominguez) Final Record (7-10)
With a 9-4 record and a strong finish in the 2014 season, Juan looked to build off of this performance heading into the 2015 season where he attempt to move up in the rankings and make a push for the championship title. With his top scorers both being quarterbacks, Juan was left with the weekly decision on who to play; The former MVP Aaron Rodger's, or the veteran arm of Carson Palmer not an ideal decision you want to be forced to make week in and week out. After averaging 149 points per game and posting a 2-5 record through the first half of the season, things were looking bleak for a team that had high hopes for a playoff spot. Despite averaging a total of 10 points less in the homestretch, Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood was able to post a 4-3 and get him the final playoff spot with a 6-8 record. In the first round of the playoffs, Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood defeated Juan Sucks by a score of 159-118. Team Ruby then remained as the only thing between Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood and the championship game. However, subpar performances from most of Juan's roster led to his defeat and Juan was sent packing once again in the semifinals. 
 Top Player: Carson Palmer (300 points)

Favre Dollar Footlong (Nathan Fritschler) Final Record (8-9)
In his first season in the King of the Shack Fantasy Football league, the cleverly named team managed by Nathan led a formidable charge towards the championship game, coming up just short in the semifinal round. Led by the #1 player in fantasy football, Antonio Brown carried Favre Dollar Footlong throughout the regular season and deep into his playoff run. PPR extraordinaire Danny Woodhead showed promise with his pass catching ability in the open field, and the Muscle Hamster, Doug Martin had a resurrected season, ranking in the top 5 amongst running backs. With a 6-8 record in the regular season, Nathan earned the #5 seed in the 2015 playoffs and exploded for 215 points in the first round, defeating Juan Too Many and setting up a favorable matchup with league leader Hernandez Hitmen. A week after Woodhead and Brown scored 36 and 46 points respectably, the two combined for only 31 points, and with other lackluster performances from the rest of the team, it was impossible for Favre Dollar Footlong to catch up to Hernandez Hitmen, falling 209-144. 2016 brings high hopes and will be another chance for Nathan to prove his fantasy expertise amongst some of the league's best. Top Player: Antonio Brown (379 points)

Team Ruby (Justin Rubenstein) Final Record (8-8)
2015 welcomed Justin Rubenstein as one of the new members into the King of the Shack fantasy football league, and needless to say, Team Ruby brought the level of competition up a notch and fought fearlessly for the title, falling just 9 points short of winning the championship in his first season. Team Ruby is now a force to be reckoned with in the league and if 2016 goes anything like this year, Justin could be a title contender immediately. Team Ruby averaged 163 points per contest, just 1 point short of the league leader (Hernandez Hitmen). His strong 4-3 start in the first half of the season likely earned him the #2 seed in the playoffs as the backstretch of the season was a bit shaky for Team Ruby. He averaged 8 points less than the first half of the season and his record dropped to 3-4, but thanks to his high scoring output throughout the season, his total points scored earned him a higher seed. Led by quarterback Russell Wilson, and up and coming wide receiver Allen Robinson, Team Ruby soared into the championship game defeating Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood handedly and turning his sights on Hernandez Hitmen and the championship trophy. Team Ruby fell by a score of 161-169 in a very tight matchup between top teams, earning him a second place finish overall in his first year. With a little better luck and a lot less injuries next season Team Ruby will look to make it back to the championship game and take home the 2016 title. Top Player: Russell Wilson (322 points)

Hernandez Hitmen (Noah Ballweg) Final Record (15-1)
With 3 of his first 4 picks in the 2015 draft, Noah was able to assemble a lethal roster with Odell Beckham Jr, Calvin Johnson and Brandin Cooks. All highly touted PPR receivers coming into the 2015 season. After an 11-2 season in 2014, it was highly improbable that Hernandez Hitmen would be able to run the table again, let alone even improve his record from the previous year, but with a 13-1 regular season record, he was able to do so. Inconsistent quarterback play from Matt Ryan, Derek Carr and Sam Bradford headlined the flaws in Hernandez Hitmen's roster early on, but with stelar seasons from Travis Kelce (72 rec), Tyler Eifert (13 TD), and sensational rookie Devonte Freeman (303 points) Hernandez Hitmen was able to average a weekly scoring output of 164 points per game leaving him with an unblemished 7-0 record in the first half of the season. Despite his single loss to Juan Too Many, Hernandez Hitmen was able to bump his second half scoring output up by over 18 points leaving him as the unquestioned favorite to win 2015 playoffs. Noah defeated Favre Dollar Footlong 209-144 in the semifinal round of the playoffs after his first round bye with the help of Tim Hightower and DeAngelo Williams (31 points a piece). In the championship match, Hernandez Hitmen and Team Ruby faced off in a battle for the ages as the #2 and #1 seed met once again to prove league dominance. Hernandez Hitmen defeated Team Ruby by a score of 169-161, thanks in large part to the Texans defense (28 points) and Calvin Johnson (29 points). After a disappointing exit in the 2014 playoffs, Noah was finally able to make his run and claim the championship over the league in 2015 and will look to defend his title in 2016. Top Player: Odell Beckham (312 points)

Team Ruby scored the highest amount of points in a one week frame in the regular season with 247 points, while Juan Direction scored the least amount of points in a matchup with 99 points.

Juan Sucks had a regular season/playoff scoring differential of -49 points, while Juan direction had a differential of +36 points.

Juan Sucks went from scoring 161 points per game in the first half of the season to scoring 145 points in the second half of the season, a differential of -16 points. Juan Direction went from scoring 121 points per game in the first 7 games, to scoring 139 points per game in the second half of the season, a differential of +18 points. 

With the 2015 season in the books, will Noah be able to defend his title in the 2016 season, or will someone rise up to the challenge and knock of the high powered Hernandez Hitmen and claim the title for their own?
